The Vin Bin opened in 2004, the creation of residents Rick and Julie Lombardi, and immediately reset the bar on the wine and gourmet food scene in Marlborough. The Lombardis created something much more than another place to buy wine, they created a shopping experience and destination for not only local shoppers, but a draw to the entire region.
In the past six years, the Vin Bin has been honored as the best Liquor Store in a nine-town region twice and best in Marlborough six years in a row.
The store reflects a friendly personality and relaxed shopping environment where all visitors are welcomed and made comfortable.
Staff is trained in wine and cheese and caters to all sorts of tastes, from novices to the most experienced palate.
The Vin Bin is currently seeking dedicated customer service staff to assist during nights and weekends. If you feel you are an exceptional individual who is passionate about the retail world of wine and fancy food, please give us a call at 508-480-9463.
The store is a character itself - built in 1909; the structure housed the Police Court, local "lock-up" and the Central Fire Station. The Public Safety services left the building in 1995. From that point on, the city repaired and modernized the building, eventually selling it in 2007. The Vin Bin is the first occupant of the fire station "bays."
Fire Department antiquities are displayed around the store.
